UNC Charlotte is one hot sports ticket

10.5.2009
Looking for the region’s best football? UNC Charlotte absolutely has it. Association Football, that is. You know, soccer.
Both teams lead the Atlantic 10 conference.
No. 22-ranked 49ers Men’s Soccer just gave the nation’s No. 3 program, Wake Forest, its first non-conference defeat in 46 matches.
Women’s Soccer has won the Atlantic 10 conference title two years straight and appears headed for no. 3, when the 49ers host the A-10 Tournament in November.
And you can catch all the action on campus at Transamerica Field for just $5 a game, $2 for kids 18 and under.

Special upcoming events

Oct. 16 – American Youth Soccer Association Day – the 49er Women play Richmond at 7 p.m. Look for a big and boisterous crowd. University City’s AYSO program alone has 900 kids competing each Saturday this fall at Mallard Creek Park. Tickets: $5 adults, $2 youth.
Oct. 23-25 – 49er men play their last home games as they seek an NCAA Tournament appearance. They take on La Salle at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and Fordham at 1 p.m. Oct. 25. Tickets: $5 adults, $2 youth.
Nov. 5-8 Atlantic 10 Women’s Soccer Tournament – Charlotte and Dayton, last year’s No. 1 and 2 seeds, look to repeat as Charlotte hosts the Atlantic 10 tournament. Tickets are $6 adults, $4 youth per game or $15/$10 for three-day passes.
